Restaurant Order Extractor privacy notice

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This notice explains how Restaurant Order Extractor, published by VarSys Software Studio, handles information when restaurant operators use the extension with their signed-in Zomato or Swiggy partner pages and CookSuite account.

What the extension does

The extension reads order-history responses from supported Zomato and Swiggy restaurant partner pages. It stores captured orders in the browser profile so the operator can review and export them. When connected to CookSuite, it checks which orders are already present and can automatically send eligible new or changed order records to the operator's CookSuite account.

Information processed

Depending on what the provider makes available, captured records may include order IDs, provider name, order date and status, customer name, item names and quantities, item prices, order totals, payment method, and additional details in the provider response such as contact or delivery information. The extension keeps the captured provider response locally in the browser profile.

When the operator signs in to CookSuite, VarSys authentication processes the information needed to authenticate the account. The extension stores the resulting CookSuite session token and account display details in browser extension storage. It does not store Zomato or Swiggy passwords.

How information is used and shared

Order information is used to collect, display, search, export, and synchronize provider orders with CookSuite. The extension stores order records, provider responses, collection progress, sync status, activity entries, and preferences in the local browser profile.

For synchronization, the extension sends a normalized subset of eligible order fields to VarSys CookSuite services over HTTPS: provider order ID, date, status, customer name when present, item names, quantities and prices, order total, payment method, and provider item ID when present. The full provider response is not included in this sync payload.

VarSys does not sell captured order information or use it for advertising, profiling, or credit decisions. Data is not sent to other parties for unrelated purposes. Zomato and Swiggy provide the source pages and remain responsible for their services and policies.

Retention and deletion

Captured orders and activity records remain in the browser profile until the extension data is removed from that profile or the extension is removed. The extension does not apply an automatic expiry period. Signing out removes the stored CookSuite session token.

Orders already synchronized are stored as sales records in the operator's CookSuite account. Their retention and deletion are managed through that account's normal data controls and administrator.

Security

Connections to VarSys authentication and CookSuite APIs use HTTPS. The CookSuite session token is stored in browser extension storage and is used to authorize CookSuite requests. The extension does not store provider passwords.
